Purpose and Scope

Intended for the recording of drug allergies. Developed to support the GPSoC work. However in future, where appropriate, it is anticipated that other programmes of work within the Health and Social Care Information Centre National Programme for IT may stipulate if there is a requirement to utilise the XML format dm+d data or the dm+d concepts as four-weekly SNOMED CT format of dm+d or if there is no preference. A subset is derived from VTMs within dm+d that reference more than one active moiety. These files identify the concepts derived from the XML format dm+d data. Where a dm+d concept is identified as a duplicate to an International Release SNOMED CT concept the dm+d concept has been retired status 2 and its International Release replacement concept is included in the subset.
