Purpose and Scope

Usage 1 :

Usage Type :
Intended
Usage Description :
Intended for secondary uses purposes. CVDPREVENT is a national primary care audit that will automatically extract routinely held GP data covering diagnosis and management of six high risk conditions that cause stroke, heart attack and dementia: atrial fibrillation (AF), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, non-diabetic hyperglycaemia and chronic kidney disease. More information on CVDPrevent can be found here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/clinical-policy/cvd/cvdprevent/ These subsets are created using the XML format dm+d data and so within these subsets a small number of concepts may be inactive (status 2 or 10) in the SNOMED CT International Release. The origin of these inactive concepts is the native XML dm+d and they are now inactive in the new International Release due to natural movement and updating of the International Release content. Work is underway to update the dm+d concepts to the new International release identifiers; at this point this mismatch will be resolved. If using the dm+d in SNOMED CT format the International Release relationships will enable migration to the replacement concept.
